Short-Form Video for The City Golf: Indoor Golf in Sherman Oaks

Indoor golf has quietly become one of the best nights out in Los Angeles, and The City Golf in Sherman Oaks is a perfect example of why. It is a sleek simulator studio on Ventura Boulevard where you can book a bay, play a world-famous course with friends, dial in your swing, or get fitted for new clubs, all without ever leaving the Valley. When they wanted content that matched how good the space feels in person, we made a short-form brand video built for exactly that.
The Brief: Make the Space Feel Like an Experience
A simulator studio is a tricky thing to shoot. Photos can make it look like a dark room with a screen. The reality is far more cinematic: the glow of the projection, the thwack of a clean strike, the focus on someone's face as they line up a putt. The goal here was to bottle that energy into something short, punchy, and vertical, the kind of clip that stops the scroll on Instagram Reels, TikTok, and Stories.
So instead of a long walkthrough, we leaned into mood. Tight details, real swings, and the atmosphere of the room after the lights go down.
What We Captured
We built the edit from the moments that make indoor golf feel premium:
- The swing. Real golfers taking real cuts against the glow of the simulator screen, shot to feel powerful and clean.
- The details. A glove going on, a ball on the tee, colored tees scattered across the turf, a rack of Titleist irons ready for a fitting.
- The coaching. One-on-one instruction, because The City Golf is as much about getting better as it is about having fun.
- The space. The bays, the gear, and the branded details that make it feel like a members' club, finished on the studio's own sign.
Everything was filmed on location in a single visit and cut to a rhythm that keeps moving, no dead air, no filler.
Why Short-Form Video Works for Indoor Golf
A still image shows your space. A short video shows the feeling of being there, and for a business that sells an experience, that difference is everything. A 15 to 30 second vertical clip is the single most shareable piece of content a studio can have right now:
- It lives natively on Reels, TikTok, and Stories, where most people discover a place like this.
- It works just as well as a paid ad or at the top of your website.
- It shows motion, sound, and energy, the things a photo simply cannot.
For restaurants, studios, gyms, and any hospitality brand, that mix of atmosphere and action is what turns a scroll into a booking.
Photo and Video, Together
I shoot and edit short-form video alongside my photography, so a single visit can give you a gallery of stills for your menus, website, and Google profile plus a set of clips for social. It is the fastest way to build a content library that actually looks like your brand.
If you run an indoor golf studio, a simulator lounge, a gym, or a hospitality space in Los Angeles and you want content that makes people want to come in, I would love to help.
